2025-2026 Leadership Nominations

Dear Members,

The time has come to nominate members to lead the NSBE Birmingham Professionals for the upcoming 2025-2026 term. The NSBE Birmingham Professionals seeks passionate and dedicated individuals for the following officer positions.

Elected Positions:

  • President

  • Vice President

  • Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Parliamentarian

  • Programs Chair

Appointed Positions:

  • Finance Chair

  • Fundraising Chair

  • Membership Chair

  • Pre-College Initiatives Chair

Nominations Process:

Members are encouraged to nominate themselves or other deserving individuals for these positions. If someone would be an excellent fit for any of these roles, it is suggested to contact them and determine their interest.

To submit a nomination, please use this submission form or contact the current Chapter President, Deidra Garrett, at dgarrett@southernco.com by July 7, 2025. Each nomination should include a brief statement (no more than 250 words) outlining the nominee's interest and relevant experience.

What happens next?

The Nominating Committee will review all nominations and will present a slate of candidates for election by July 11, 2025.

Election Details:

Elections will be held during the month of July. All newly-elected officers will assume their responsibilities by August 1, 2025. The NSBE Birmingham Professionals appreciates participation in this important process and looks forward to a successful election!
